The Boston Celtics have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference finals after defeating the Indiana Pacers 126-110 on Saturday night at the TD Garden.
Jaylen Brown led the way for Boston, exploding for a game-high 40 points on 15-of-23 shooting from the field. Jayson Tatum added 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Marcus Smart chipped in with 18 points.
The Pacers were led by Tyrese Haliburton, who had 22 points and 10 assists. Domantas Sabonis added 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Malcolm Brogdon scored 16 points.
The Celtics took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Pacers 31-18 to take a 15-point lead. Boston extended its lead to 20 points in the fourth quarter and cruised to the victory.
The Celtics will host Game 3 of the series on Monday night at the TD Garden. The Pacers will need to win at least one game in Boston to keep their hopes of reaching the NBA Finals alive.
